CLIMATE

Summer in the Limpopo Province of South Africa lasts from October to March, with hot days and nights. Temperatures range from 20° to 45°. This is a rainy season but a dry area with minimal rainfall, 450 mm falling per year for a total of ten days. Light clothing in neutral or khaki colors, jersey and swimwear.

Nobody has taken Anti-malaria precautions at Mopaya Safari Lodge since 2000. We have not had many problems because there are very few mosquitoes in the area. Repulsive spray or cream is sufficient but if you have any doubts, you are welcome to consult your GP.

Winter is from April to September. This is the dry season with warm days 25° and fresh nights 5°. Light clothing in neutral or khaki colors, jersey, warm jacket, gloves and swimwear in case.

At any time of the year, walking shoes, a sun hat, cameras, video and binoculars are essential.
